Grant Thornton joins the BTC

Leading UK auditor Grant Thornton is the latest organisation to become a Signatory of the Black Talent Charter.

Akin Ogboye, Royalty Audit Partner and Ethnicity and Cultural Heritage strand Convenor from Grant Thornton said: “Our commitment to the Black Talent Charter aligns with our focus on creating a workplace where all talent can thrive equally. By working with the Charter, we are taking meaningful action to address the historical disparities faced by Black professionals in the financial and professional services sectors. This collaboration will enable us to measure our progress, and implement clear action plans to support the recruitment, career progression, retention and promotion of Black professionals within our organisation.

Additionally, as part of our ongoing efforts, we have recently launched a Black Talent Network to provide dedicated support and opportunities for networking, mentorship, and professional development for our Black employees. By holding ourselves accountable and being transparent in our efforts, we aim to create an environment where Black professionals can feel confident in advancing their careers and aspiring to leadership positions. This aligns with our broader goal of fostering diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity for all individuals within our organisation.”
